Testosterone Boosting Salad
This might surprise a few of my non-regular readers, “a Testosterone boosting salad” I hear you say. We have established in previous articles that vegetables are great for elevating testosterone levels, and rather healthy too and help you in other areas of your health such as weight loss.
The ingredients are very simple, delicious and healthy.
In this salad, we will be basing it around arugula lettuce, which is fabulous for boosting testosterone.
Ingredients: Arugula lettuce, hard boiled eggs, onions, Tomatoes, broccoli, and spinach. Asparagus and olive oil.
Optional: Tongkat Ali.
One has to steam the broccoli also.
Testosterone Boosting Salad – Ingredients Explained
Arugula lettuce, this has been known for just over 2,000 years to be a male sexual performance enhancer. Dating way back to roman times. Loaded with all the correct natural micronutrients for increasing testosterone and enhancing libido and for regulating blood pressure. Also high in antioxidants
Hard boiled eggs, these provide the necessary cholesterol, the building blocks for testosterone. Eggs are also a great source of Zinc, which is great for sperm production and sperm quality.
Onions, great neat fresh tasty addition to any salad or meal and awesome testosterone booster due to containing quercetin and apigenin. Studies on rats showed a 3 fold increase in free testosterone levels when onions were added to their diet.
Tomatoes, hard not to find tomatoes in a salad and while not, in particular, a testosterone boosting food they are still great for erectile dysfunction due to containing lycopene. Lycopene helps the blood vessels to “chillax” and help the blood to flow. Tomatoes are a powerful antioxidant and great source of folic acid and are great for prostate and cardio health.
Broccoli, the sex veg as I love to call it. High in zinc, protein and significantly, potassium also, which helps to lower blood pressure. Natural source of vitamins A, C, and K,
Spinach, as I have mentioned a number of times, an absolute ED busting superfood!
Asparagus, brilliant and just packed with vitamins and minerals for your general health and for jump starting testosterone production.
Salad Dressing
Shall I dress my salad or not? Dressed or undressed?
Well, lets put it this way, the only thing I like undressed is my lady friends!
This one if fairly simple, good old good for the heart extra virgin olive oil
(oh, and I do like my lady friends with a bit more experience than extra virgin!)
Optional, sprinkle in a bit of powdered Tongkat Ali and mix into the olive oil prior to dressing the salad. This will give you salad an extra testosterone boost.
