Foods That Are Good For High Blood Pressure
Foods That Are Good For High Blood Pressure
Hi there, in this article, I am going to talk about foods that are good for high blood pressure, which is a nice follow on from a previous post about foods that are bad for high blood pressure.
Once we know which foods are bad and which are good for hypertension we can move forward and take a food therapy approach to curing what can be a deadly condition.
How simple can it be?
Very simple indeed, as simple as making changes to our diet and lifestyle.
Let’s get started with a short list of foods that can help us to lower our blood pressure.
Foods That Are Good For High Blood Pressure – White Beans
Very versatile food can be added to soups, eaten on their own. Go for the low salt version obviously.
White beans are a great source of the 3 minerals required to regulate blood pressure Potassium, Magnesium, and Calcium. Also a great source of non-meat based protein.
Pork Tenderloin
Might surprise some to see pork tenderloin on the list of foods that are good for high blood pressure. This is definitely on the menu due to being a nice meaty and surprise source of magnesium and potassium. It those minerals, plus calcium that help to regulate blood pressure.
Yoghurt, (Fat-free And Plain)
There you go, brilliant and easy way to start the day! One tub of yoghurt provides 50% of your daily calcium needs, what’s more, you can use in it salad dressings and sauces.
No excuses! Just a simple one tub a day to keep the high blood pressure away.
Why not start your day with yoghurt as the base for you muesli and stick in a slice or two of banana, which are high in potassium? lovely, you soon start to see your HBP plummet!
Bananas
Being a great source of potassium, one would be foolish not to mention the heart healthy banana from a list of Hypertension killing foods, given that they contain bromelain, an enzyme that helps with erectile dysfunction.
Broccoli
Mentioned a lot on this site for it’s ability to augment testosterone and enhance sperm mobility and motility. Helps to lower estrogen and is good for lowering your blood pressure due to containing all three of the minerals that are often lacking in sufferers of hypertension.
Sweet potatoes
Best consumed with their skins on as the skin contains more potassium and magnesium. Actually, might start adding them to my smoothies due to their nutritional content.
Kale
A super food itself with over 20 micronutrients, yes of which includes calcium, magnesium and potassium. Nice and easy to add to salads or smoothies. Very good for your heart and circulation.
Avocado
The fabulous non-meat source of the building blocks of testosterone – cholesterol! great source of blood pressures relieving minerals and super healthy carotenoids! Also a source of healthy for the heart monounsaturated fats.
I am pretty sure you have the idea by now what foods, kinds of foods are good for high blood pressure. Your homework is to find foods that you like or are naturally drawn to that contain potassium, magnesium, and calcium and add the to your diet on a regular basis.
One such food for me is coconuts, especially coconut water. I have at least one glass of coconut water every morning.
There is one herb that I know of, contains calcium, magnesium, and potassium as well as active ingredients that help with erectile dysfunction. Called Cistanche Tubulosa
