A cause of low libido is often hormonal, usually low testosterone levels, a hormone that both men and women need and is often nicknamed the sex drive hormone. As we age, sadly, levels of this hormone decline by approximately 1-2% per year after the age of 30.
Increasing testosterone levels naturally, can be achieved using herbs. One such herb is Pine Pollen Tincture Another is Tongkat Ali Both of which are safe for women to take.
Pine Pollen actually contains testosterone and can directly raise your testosterone levels while Tongkat Ali works in harmony with your body to stimulate the production of testosterone.
Dopamine is another naturally occurring chemical in our body that is responsible for sex drive. It is actually a neurotransmitter. This can be raised naturally using Mucuna Pruriens, which contains the amino acid levodopa which crosses the blood brain barrier and directly increases dopamine levels.
He Shou Wu, Inhibits the Monoamine Oxide B (MAO-B) enzyme which prevents the breakdown of dopamine, thus leaving us with higher levels of the feel-good brain chemical and neurotransmitter.
Both Mucuna Pruriens and He Shou Wu can be taken together and present no contraindications if, and when taken with Pine Pollen Tincture or Tongkat Ali.
