C4 Pre Workout Review – Could This Supplement Help You To Get Rock Hard Erections?
C4 Pre Workout Review – Could This Supplement Help You To Get Rock Hard Erections?
In this article, C4 Pre Workout Review, I dig deep and rather analytically detail all the individual ingredients in this pre workout supplement and their functionality in terms of improving your circulation and their ability to potentially help you to get harder, better and longer lasting erections.
As often is the case, pre workout and bodybuilding supplements tend to have a positive effect on and with men who are suffering from erectile difficulties.
Let’s crack on with this review! And keep reading to find out my thoughts on this particular supplement!
C4 Pre Workout Review
C4 Pre Workout Review – Product Overview
The product that I am reviewing here is the C4 Ultimate pre workout supplement by Cellucor. The company Cellucor are a well respected relatively new company based out of Bryan in Texas, having established themselves since their formation in 2012. Currently, they sponsor a number of Athletes, namely Jen Jewell, Karina Baymiller, Craig Capurso, Brooke Wells and Rob Niter.
The C4 Ultimate Pre Workout supplement is, as the name suggests a dietary supplement for athletes and gym enthusiasts to take prior to training. The product is absolutely discreet if anyone be they guests or your children happen to find it around your home they would have absolutely no idea that you may be using it to help with a sexual problem.
Also, I may add, the supplement is safely and discreetly delivered. Nobody, except those packing the product at the shipment centre or warehouse knowns what is in the very familiar branded Amazon manilla coloured box that you will receive it in.
One of the reasons why I particularly like pre workout supplements is that they are heart healthy and beneficial for your cardiovascular health and circulatory system. This, alongside hormonal issues is at the core of most of your sexual woes as you get older. This supplement, the C4 Ultimate Pre Workout by Cellucor is no different as it formulated with known compounds that could help improve your circulation with 14 ingredients that have been documented by researchers to be beneficial for improving your blood flow.
Those 14 ingredients are Niacin, Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, Folic Acid, Vitamin B12, Calcium, Citrulline Malate, Beta Alanine, Creatine Nitrate, Betaine Anhydrous, Arginine Silicate, Arginine Alpha Keto Glutarate, Taurine and the C4 Ultimate energy and focus blend.
The Formula
Let’s talk now in more detail about the individual ingredients in this product and how they relate to aiding your sexual dysfunction.
Niacin: You are probably well aware of niacin being a vitamin (B3 to be precise) having seen its name countless times on food packaging, but do you know what it does? and how it helps your body?. Vitamin B3, or Niacin as it is also commonly known aids your circulatory health particularly when you take it long term due to helping to reduce your levels of the bad LDL cholesterol [1] and helping to prevent the formation of plaques in your arteries and veins [2]. Additionally, this humble nutrient has been proven to increase the amount of human growth hormone and the sex drive enhancing and erection hardening hormone testosterone [3].
Vitamin B6: Another of the handy and heart healthy B complex of vitamins that aid blood flow and assist in testosterone optimization. It’s function in relation to your heart health and improving your circulation is from its ability to regulate cholesterol levels and reducing your total and LDL cholesterol levels [4]. This is particularly good and important as cholesterol has an impeding effect on the flow of your blood.
The testosterone optimization effects of Vitamin B6 is a direct effect of the nutrients ability to suppress your bodies secretion and production of the female hormone estrogen [5], which attaches to free testosterone making it useless and inert. Inhibiting this, or the over production of estrogen may result in your body having more free testosterone as less estrogen is available to bind to your testosterone. Additional testosterone optimization effects occur thanks to its ability to improve the functionality of your testosterone receptor cells [6].
Folic Acid: Folic acid is otherwise known as Vitamin B9 and is well recognised as being incredibly healthy for your sexual and reproductive health. However, it has only been realised during the past decade the relationship between folic acid and your cardiovascular health. It has been documented that supplementing your diet with folic acid could very well reverse endothelial dysfunction – the other ED that leads to ED!.
5 methyl tetrahydrofolate, which is the active metabolite found in folic acid could improve the bioavailability of the circulation enhancing molecule nitric oxide by increasing eNOS (endothelial nitric oxide synthase) coupling and improve the production of nitric oxide [7].
By increasing the availability of nitric oxide folic acid would be able to upgrade your endothelial function and help to manage your erectile dysfunction, especially if and when your sexual difficulties and frustrations are caused by poor blood flow and circulation.
The endothelium, just to clarify is the smooth lining of your arteries and veins that open up your arteries and veins allowing more blood to flow.
Vitamin B12: It is very well known that this vitamin is good for helping the body to produce energy by means of breaking down dietary fats. Little known and handy for us men to know is that Vitamin B12 has been discovered to improve the quality of your sperm in terms of motility and quantity – both of which are indicators of increased testosterone production [8].
Calcium: Most of us would, and rightfully so, associate this mineral with aiding our bone density but dont rule it out for aiding with your boner either!. Many studies exist relating and associating calcium to testosterone synthesis and enhancing the levels of the happy neurotransmitter dopamine, noting a well established relationship between increased dopamine levels and Testosterone, more so in sufferers of chronic stress.
It was way back in the early 1970’s that studies were conducted and established that calcium significantly increased the synthesis of bioavailable testosterone by means of interacting with the luteinizing hormone [9]. This study was repeated over 30 years later with subjects and participants given a dosage of 35mg per kilo of body weight. The group was then divided into two groups with a sedentary group and the other taking part in weight training 5x per week.
Both groups experienced gains in free testosterone levels while the group taking part in the physical training experienced an 18% greater gain in free testosterone levels [10]. Just shows you, dem bones and dat boner needs calcium!.
Vitamin C: Not many of us would connect the dots between a humble and potent antioxidant that is Vitamin C and improved nitric oxide production and circulation. Thankfully those rather smart people in lab coats, researchers have done that by proving that vitamin C stimulates endothelial nitric oxide synthesis in a dose dependent manner [11] and has an ability to convert nitrites into nitric oxide [12]. It has also been proven that vitamin C could enhance your bodies levels of the blood flow boosting amino acid L Citrulline [13]. Furthermore, this very humble and well known vitamin can, like folic acid, assist in the restoration of healthy endothelial function, particularly in heart disease patients [14]. The sum of all of this results in vitamin C being one pretty awesome vitamin for improving your circulation.
Citrulline Malate: This is one of the principal ingredients that helps the Cellucor C4 Ultimate pre workout supplement to function as an excellent circulation enhancer and erection boosting supplement. L Citrulline is a circulation enhancing amino acid which forms part of your urea cycle alongside L Arginine and L Ornithine, of which both of these amino acids can be produced by your body in a more bioavailable form from L Citrulline.
Once you take L Citrulline your body then converts it into a bioavailable form of L Arginine and L Ornithine, this is why I have a preference to taking higher dosage, (read mega dose) of L Citrulline than to take the mentioned amino acids individually – a more bioavailable form of these are created and are easier for your body to use and make good use of.
The conversion of L Citrulline to L Arginine that is of particular interest to us as this augments the plasma arginine levels in the body much more than directly taking L Arginine itself [15].
Just to point, this fact in no way or manner means that you ought to ditch or switch your L Arginine supplements and swap them for L Citrulline. Certainly, L Citrulline is by far more effective at giving your circulation a boost and thus helping your erectile difficulties than what L Arginine is. You see, L arginine is much faster acting, which counts for many supplements using a combination of both amino acids could make for an effective way to help you to enjoy better quality erections!.
Research has shown that this amino acid could increase your nitric oxide levels by as much as 30% and HGH (human growth hormone) by a whopping 66% [16]. Essentially, arterial stiffness improves significantly after 7 days of supplementation [17], which means greater circulation!. During a relatively short 6 week study of its effects on erectile dysfunction, men were able to improve the rigidity of their hard on! [18]. This is what makes L Citrulline part of my perennial daily supplements to take!.
The Malate form of L Citrulline is when malic acid is added, normally in a ratio of 2 parts malic acid to one part citrulline. Despite its name, malic acid is a very natural compound that you can find in citric fruits, it is added to improve the absorption of the amino acid by your body.
Beta Alanine: This is a little known beta amino acid that has some very interesting effects both in the bedroom and at the gym. It has the effect of improving physical performance by means of its lactic acid buffering effect [19] and leaves your muscles feeling less tired after an intense workout, be it at home or at the gym!.
It also has effects that augment the quantity of Adenosine 5’Triphosphate (ATP for short!) [20]. ATP participates in an important part in the neurological signalling process for your penis to engorge and fill with blood by sending the signal to your two cylindrical tubes in your manhood, the corpus cavernosum to chillax and engorge with blood [21], and thus it could help you to get harder erections and a longer lasting performance.
Creatine Nitrate: The primary function of creatine is that of supplying energy to your body at a cellular level, particularly your muscle tissues by means of enhancing your bodies production of Adenosine 5’Triphosphate. As mentioned above the role in which ATP (Adenosine 5’Triphosphate) plays in male sexual function is that of improving the neurological signalling process sending the message to your corpus cavernosum to relax and fill with blood, potentially resulting in better and harder erections for you.
Test subjects taking creatine were proven to have experienced a 22% increase in free testosterone while supplementing with creatine with the 33 participants average blood serum testosterone levels of 577ng/dl improving to 704ng/dl. The benefits of increased testosterone levels for men with sexual difficulties are obvious, better erections and an increased sex drive.
Blood flow and circulation could also be improved with regular consumption of creatine as it has been documented to reduce total cholesterol levels in your body.
Betaine Anhydrous: This compound is incredibly healthy for your circulatory system and your cardiovascular health. It is commonly found in beetroot, a vegetable that has been well established to help with erectile difficulties [22]. Betaine also has beneficial effects for your fight against cholesterol and reducing atherosclerosis and has positive effects on the availability of nitric oxide in your body [23]. These aspects present a win-win factor for your circulation, erectile dysfunction and your hearts health.
Arginine Silicate: This is a very interesting and newer form of L Arginine that is said to improve blood arginine levels for up to 6 hours after consumption [24]. Arginine Silicate produces 2x the max blood flow when compared to arginine hydrochloride with 5 times greater a level of relaxation of blood vessels. It is a combination of Arginine, Potassium and Silicon. With continued use of Arginine Silicate, Nitric Oxide base levels could increase. Interestingly, Cellucor C4 Ultimate contains an ample amount of this circulation improving compound.
Arginine Alpha Keto Glutarate: This is another type or form of the amino acid L Arginine. It is a salt, in fact, a salt of the amino acid and forms part of the kerbs cycle and central in the metabolism of nitric oxide. It is one of the principal ways in which the human body produces energy.
Medically it is used to treat disorders of the stomach and intestinal tract as well as liver disease. Your body separates the two compounds of L Arginine and Alpha Keto Glutarate and is very much like taking the two compounds separately. The main benefits of taking Arginine Alpha Keto Glutarate is improved heart health, increased strength and enhanced production of nitric oxide and thus better circulation and blood flow [25].
Taurine: This is a substance that is made famous by its usage in the sports drink Red Bull. It is created and produced in your body by methione and cysteine and makes up on half, 50%, of the amino acids in your heart. When you take taurine it provokes a profound relaxation of the arteries and a significant increase in your blood flow [26].
Studies exist indicating that this almost essential amino acid could very well improve gonadal nitric oxide production. This is a direct indication of enhanced blood flow in your testicles and greater production of the male sex hormone, testosterone. Many studies document this relationship between increased testosterone production and taurine [27], [28] making a very welcome addition to gym supplements and erectile dysfunction supplements alike.
C4 Ultimate Energy And Focus Blend: This is a blend of herbs and compounds that are aimed at increasing your mood, energy, blood flow and focus in many different aspects and modes of functionality. It includes an ample 300mg of Caffeine, which has been proven by universities in America and Japan to be beneficial for both testosterone enhancement and increased blood flow. Mucuna Pruriens is a proven mood enhancer with the direct ability to increase levels of the happy hormone and neurotransmitter dopamine. It is also effective at increasing your levels of vitality by being a very effective testosterone booster. All in all, it is a very well thought out blend aimed at increasing your energy and vitality.
C4 Pre Workout Review – The Pros
What I liked About C4 Pre Workout Supplement:
- It is a top quality product with many proven ingredients that could enhance your circulation.
- It is a very well thought out and planned to potentially increase your nitric oxide levels directly but to optimize the effect of the increased levels and help it to be more effective.
- Contains more than enough amounts of each ingredient to be effective.
- Has a very effective 6g dosage of L Citrulline Malate, 1g of L Arginine Alpha Ketoglutarate and 1.5 grams of Arginine silicate, all of which adds up to an amount to seriously increase your circulation.
- It is very well priced at a cost of less than $1.50 (at the current price) per day for a 40 day supply.
- The 40 day supply (40 servings) is a large enough size for sufferers of a more grave form of erectile problems to use daily and start experiencing results towards the end of their first batch of using this supplement. Moderate to mild sufferers of ED could experience results much sooner and regularly – I’m talking the possibility of natural spontaneous erections here!.
The Cons
What I did not like about Cellucor C4 Pre Workout Supplement:
Despite being very well thought out and planned pre workout supplement and one aimed and increasing circulation I would have liked to have seen a herb or two that inhibits the breakdown of nitric oxide to aid the supplement and of course your body at maintaining the increase in nitric oxide levels and thus blood flow for longer. Such herbs like horny goat weed and damiana are two such examples.
Those suffering from high blood pressure may experience a sudden and unwelcome drop in blood pressure if taken alongside blood pressure medication.
C4 Pre Workout Review – The Final Verdict!
9.6/10 Buy It And Try It!. I have little doubts in regards to C4 Ultimate pre workout supplement being able to improve your circulation and it could certainly help you to get better quality erections and improve your sex life accordingly. This said it won’t be of much use if your circulation is already working perfectly well. Ideally, this product is for men seeking stronger erections due to poor blood flow, poor general circulation and high blood pressure. It is something best taken on a daily basis and long term, which is handy as one of the sizing options is an ample 40 servings or 40 day supply.
I personally have taken circulation enhancing supplements, actually a combination of them, for over a year now to correct my circulation issues and thankfully I am experiencing good, solid and naturally occurring erections right when I need them most. If you are suffering from weak erections due to poor blood flow then I highly suggest you try this particular product long term and on an ongoing basis.
